If you wish to make an enquiry that relates to a child already attending Mascalls, please contact the child's Learning Community Office in the first instance, because this is a lot quicker than going through the main switchboard. The relevant email addresses and direct line phone numbers can be found by following the link to Learning Communities which you will find on the menu to the right.

Admissions

Mascalls is an 11-18 fully comprehensive day school with a large Sixth Form. It has a maximum annual intake of 240 boys and girls and is over-subscribed. Courses of study are provided according to individual needs for the GCSE examination and at GCE A Level, A/S Level and GNVQ (Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced) leading to admission to Universities, including Oxbridge or specialist professional training.

Students are admitted in accordance with the Governing Body's publicised Admissions Procedure. Details and dates for the procedure are published annually.

Mascalls is normally the nearest appropriate school for pupils of all abilities living in Brenchley, Matfield, Capel, Five Oak Green, East Peckham, Horsmonden, Lamberhurst, Yalding and Paddock Wood.

Parents living in these areas whose children attend either their local County primary school or independent schools and who wish to apply for a place at Mascalls should contact enquiries@mascalls.kent.sch.uk. Pupils in other areas may also seek admission to the school.

Attention is drawn to the County Council's arrangements for help with travel. Offers of places will be sent to a maximum of 240 applicants. In recent years the average number of applications has been in excess of this figure.

Policies

Mascalls has a complete set of policies covering every aspect of school life. If you would like to see a policy, please contact the school office who should be able to assist you.
