Careers and Enterprise
Welcome to Mascalls School Careers and Enterprise site which we hope will provide useful information and support to students to help them make informed choices and decisions about their future and to help them develop skills, knowledge and experiences to enter the world of work. We also recognise that parents often would like to know more information and support in these important areas and we value their contribution to careers and enterprise within the school. We therefore hope that both students and parents will find the pages useful.
We are committed to supporting our students to develop their work based knowledge and understanding of their future opportunities including further and higher education, training, gap years, apprenticeships and employment. As part of the curriculum, students have the opportunity to develop their work related learning which is offered through a range of opportunities including:
Working in partnership with Connexions we are able to offer students ongoing careers information, advice and guidance during school hours. We have two Connexions Personal Advisors who visit the school three mornings per week for one to one impartial careers interviews with students or working with students in groups.
We are continuing to develop and improve the provision of work related learning including careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) and enterprise. As part of our commitment to ensure that all our students receive quality and effective careers and enterprise throughout their time at Mascalls School, we are currently working towards the Investor in Careers Award and have already successfully achieved Stage 1.
