About Us

Health and Social Care is for anyone who wants to work with people. It teaches you a range of skills which are relevant to all jobs. These include Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Communication.

The courses provide an opportunity to study a wide range of topics and provide opportunities to develop skills through practical activities. Mascalls offer courses at both Level 2 (GCSE) and Level 3 (A Level).

The OCR National Certificate in Health and Social Care is a two year course and is assessed through 100% coursework. Students complete a range of units on topics such as Communication, Practical Care, First Aid, Caring for Children and Quality Care and more. You will be graded for each unit - Pass, Merit and Distinction. Each grade is transferred into points to give an overall grade.

The Edexcel (Level 3) BTEC National Certificate in Health and Social Care The BTEC National Certificate in Health and Social care is a two year course and is assessed through a 100% coursework. Students complete a range of units on topics such as Communication, Equality and Diversity, Anatomy and Physiology, Child Protection, Health and Safety, Psychology, Sociology, Personal Professional Development and many more.

You will be graded for each unit - Pass, Merit and Distinction. Each grade is transferred into points to give an overall grade which is transferred into UCAS points.
